Over the years, we have cultivated direct relationships with a wide network of artisans and craft centric enterprises across the country. Our primary mission is to empower the Indian artisan and do our bit in contributing to the sustenance of artisan livelihoods as also the preservation of an amazing craft heritage.
Available in a multitude of colours, the Jawaja rug is beautifully crafted by the deft hands of Rajasthani artisans with a cosy, rustic appeal of its own. While initially used by the locals for their own needs, these rugs, also called Dhurries, were subsequently commercialised to provide them with a source of income. Today, these iconic sturdy rugs are woven on extra-wide looms as they are thicker than the generic rug. These diligent craftsmen source cotton, wool, and jute yarns from a nearby town of Beawar and spin the bobbins for the looms by themselves. The myriad of simple, bold patterns found on these is beautifully designed and versatile enough to to fit into any space.
