FKJSSB
Wooden Jaali Desk Set (2 pc Set). Entirely handcrafted. Every little hole in this intricately carved Jaali Coaster set has been painstakingly crafted by hand. A beautiful and elegant table accessory that will always be appreciated for its classy appeal. An ancient craft originally practiced on ivory now lends itself to different kinds of wood as well. The community of Ivory carvers still known as “Hast daant waale” originally from Rajasthan and Haryana have over the years adapted their craft to wood as well. The craftsmen create decorative artifacts, jewellery and home utility products out of finely carved wood. These craftsmen generally work on sandalwood and increasingly on Kadam wood as well as Sheesham and Mango wood. Jaali work on wood is a fine, painstaking art that entails every single hole to be carved out by hand that finally emerges into the required, design or pattern.
